You may know the feeling of always being on alert.

Your thoughts keep going around in circles.
Your body reacts before you even have time to understand why.
You worry about what might happen.
And sometimes you avoid situations because the anxiety simply feels too overwhelming.

Living with anxiety can be exhausting.

But anxiety does not have to control your life.

I offer anxiety therapy in English in Copenhagen/Rødovre and online.

Does anxiety take up too much space in your life?

Anxiety can show itself in many different ways.

For some people, it comes as sudden panic attacks. For others, it is a constant feeling of unease, worry or overthinking.

You may experience:

  • Constant worrying
  • Overthinking
  • Inner restlessness
  • A racing heart
  • Difficulty relaxing
  • Fear of losing control
  • Avoiding certain situations
  • Feeling constantly on edge

Sometimes you may even know rationally that there is nothing to be afraid of – but your body and your thoughts react anyway.

And that can be one of the most frustrating parts of anxiety.

When your thoughts take over

Anxiety often creates a cycle.

You notice a thought or a sensation in your body.

You become worried about it.

Then you begin paying even more attention to what you are feeling.

Before long, your thoughts are controlling your attention – and the anxiety grows stronger.

You may try to reason with yourself:

“There is nothing wrong.”
“I need to stop thinking about it.”
“I should be able to control this.”

But sometimes thinking harder is exactly what keeps you stuck.

You don’t have to deal with anxiety alone

My name is Henriette Wang.

I am a psychotherapist and certified Master Hypnotherapist, and I work with people who feel trapped in anxiety, worry, overthinking and uncomfortable feelings in their body.

Anxiety is one of the areas I work with most.

In our sessions, we don’t only look at the symptoms you experience.

We also explore what may be driving the anxiety underneath.

My approach combines psychotherapy and hypnotherapy, allowing us to work both with your conscious thoughts and with deeper emotional patterns.

Hypnotherapy for anxiety

When you live with anxiety, you may have tried many times to talk yourself out of it.

But anxiety is not always something you can simply think your way out of.

Hypnotherapy allows us to work at a deeper level with the thoughts, emotions and patterns connected with your anxiety.

Combined with psychotherapy, it can help you understand your reactions and begin creating a different response.

The aim is not simply to tell yourself to “calm down.”

It is to help you actually feel safer and calmer inside yourself.

What can change when we work with your anxiety?

The goal of therapy is not to make you a different person.

It is to help you feel more like yourself again.

More calm in your thoughts

Less overthinking and fewer repetitive worries.

More trust in yourself

You become less frightened by your own thoughts and reactions.

Less anxiety in your body

Your nervous system does not need to stay on constant alert.

More freedom

You can begin doing things that anxiety may previously have stopped you from doing.

Greater understanding

You begin to understand what triggers your anxiety and how to respond differently.

How we work together

We start by understanding your anxiety.

What triggers it?
When does it appear?
What happens in your thoughts and your body?
And what might be underneath it?

I combine psychotherapy with hypnotherapy and adapt the sessions to you and what you need.

You don’t need to know exactly why you feel the way you do before contacting me.

Finding that out is part of the work we do together.

Anxiety, panic attacks and overthinking

I work with people experiencing different forms of anxiety, including:

  • General anxiety and persistent worry
  • Panic attacks
  • Social anxiety
  • Overthinking
  • Racing thoughts
  • Inner restlessness
  • Fear and insecurity

You don’t need to have a specific diagnosis.

If anxiety, worry or overthinking is affecting your everyday life, relationships or your ability to enjoy your life, we can start there.

Frequently Asked Questions About Anxiety Therapy

Can hypnotherapy help with anxiety?

Hypnotherapy can be used alongside psychotherapy to explore the thoughts, emotions and underlying patterns connected with anxiety.

In my work, I combine conversation and hypnotherapy rather than focusing only on the symptoms.

How many sessions will I need?

This varies from person to person. I normally recommend starting with my introductory programme of 4 × 60-minute sessions, which gives us time to understand what is driving the anxiety and begin working with it more deeply.

Can I have anxiety therapy online?

Yes. Sessions can take place online, which can be particularly convenient if you live outside Copenhagen or outside Denmark.

Do I need to know what type of anxiety I have?

No. You don’t need a diagnosis or to know whether what you experience is anxiety, panic attacks or something else before contacting me.

Do you offer therapy in English?

Yes. I offer psychotherapy and hypnotherapy in English, both at my practice in Rødovre, Copenhagen and online.
